It was the second year we presented our products at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California.
For four days straight, from January 19th until the 22nd, Günter Geiger and Carlos Morales were working tirelessly giving demos of the Reactable Live! and it’s app version, the Reactable Mobile, to countless visitors, professional musicians as well as music- and tech-lovers from all over the world.
NAMM was as always a great event and full of highlights which we want to share with you, especially as we had the honor to welcome quite some famous visitors at our booth!

Our most loyal followers might have already noticed our collaboration with the well-known DJ/producer-duo David Amo + Julio Navas. A few days ago they published a video of their first test drive with a Reactable Live!
The next big upcoming event for Amo + Navas will be the Vicious Music Awards on December 14. They are not only nominated for Best DJ of the Year and Best Producer, amongst others, but they will also have their first public appearance at the Vicious Music Awards Gala integrating Reactable Live! in their live performance. If you are longing to hear more great music from Amo+Navas and Reactable, stay connected! We will soon have featured tables to download.
Last month we celebrated the first anniversary of Reactable mobile. We are very happy that so many of you joined the constantly growing Reactable community, making and sharing music on the go!
Above all, we would like to thank Gui Boratto and Prime Loops for their great loop sets created specially for this occasion. Of course, their music continues to be available on our community page along with a lot more tables created by Reactable mobile users for everyone to download.

Earlier this month a Spanish TV show called Hormiguero suprised David Guetta with a Reactable Live! for him to play and we have to admit we where a little bit afraid about what was going to happen since he had never used it before, but we were very happy with the results, he got the gist of it right away and even though he did not get in to effects or synths (only permitted for advanced Reactable users) he got along with the Reactable on the spot and came out with a crowd pleaser!
And for those of you non-spanish speakers… he said it was great and that he wanted one for Ibiza that night!… an endorsement from one of the worlds most succesfull DJ’s is no small thing.
We are proud to announce the release of the Reactable mobile for Android.
Now Reactable mobile comes to the ever growing range of products which use the Android platform. Smart phones and tablets with various sizes and features can now be converted into a portable music making tool for musicians, Dj’s and sound artists.
Gunter Geiger will make the official announcement at Sonar by Day along with a live perfomance by Carles López who will play with the Reactable Live! and Reactable mobile for Android.
Our anniversary month comes to an end and Saturday April 30 is the last day to reserve a Reactable at the special anniversary price.
It has been an very interesting month for us, our booth at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt was really successful and created a lot of buzz in the press as well as among the professionals and visitors. We appeared on the biggest german news channel in primetime as well as in several blogs and printed press all over the world.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone following the Reactable project, be it fans, customers, collaborators, musicians. You are the ones who drive this project and give us the motivation to continue innovating, and in the coming year we will do our best to go on redefining the future of musical interaction.
Last year at Musikmesse, we proudly announced the launch of Reactable Live! with an overwhelming response from artists, musicians and onlookers alike.
A year has past now, and more and more Reactable Live! performers around the world are breaking barriers and connecting with their music in a way that was not possible before. From production to performance: Touch, sight and sound are factored in to create an entirely new experience which not only raises the bar in live music performance, but changes the whole field.
This year we will continue to improve the most versatile and complete live performance instrument incorporating newest technologies, using advanced concepts of interaction and giving modern musicians a way to express themselves in their live shows.
We are very proud of the Reactable Live! and this anniversary is really important to us so we want to celebrate accordingly by offering Reactable Live! at a very special price.
Reactable Systems and Microfusa have teamed up to create the first ever Reactable courses. We kickoff with a live demo session at Microfusa Madrid on Monday March 28th and in Microfusa Barcelona on the 30th. Although these first courses will be in spanish we are planning to offer courses in English this summer. Stay tuned and don’t miss them.
The goal of the course is to be able to manage and create with the Reactable, both the mobile as well as the real device. Using the intuitive and visual Reactable interface they give an introduction to modular synthesis and the concepts behind generating music with computers in general and teach how to use this knowledge in order to make effective performances with the Reactable.
To support the Education Exhibition happening in Barcelona this week, we will be offering the Reactable mobile at half price on the App Store until Sunday March 27. The Education Exhibition (Saló de l’Ensenyament) is Barcelona’s largest education event as well as a cause near and dear to Reactable.
